Speciation, chromosome changes, natural and experimental hybridization, species definition, sex determination in mammals
Research Experience
Ways of emergence and maintaining chromosome changes and karyotypes of distinct animals (mammals, beetles, fishes, reptiles) were studied for almost 40 years. The focus of research since 2000 has been genetics of sex determination in mammals without the Y chromosome and Sry gene, search for key genes, and analyzing the behavior of sex chromosomes in meiosis for model species, mole voles Ellobius.
